For impeccable service and outstanding sushi, MIKU Toronto is a must-visit for local sushi lovers. Open since late 2015, MIKU Toronto is the first of its kind in Ontario from the well-known Aburi Restaurant group, world renowned for the delicious flame-seared Aburi Sushi served at their original location in Vancouver.
The elegant, open-concept 7,000 sq. ft restaurant at Bay and Queen’s Quay seats 200 people and boasts a sushi bar (where you can check out the chef in action with his blow torch), a raw bar and large patio.
The menu focuses on Aburi Sushi as well as fresh seafood, and some Toronto-only elements. Japanese and European-inspired desserts are made in-house and the drink list includes signature cocktails, wines, and an extensive sake list, which the knowledgeable staff can guide you through.
The space is bustling, but the acoustics are well designed and it`s easy to carry on a conversation. We tried the tasting menu paired with sake—and were treated to a wide variety of dishes, each accompanied by a different sake—a fantastic experience that we recommend.
