Get Behind The Velvet Ropes This TIFF At The Ritz-Carlton

With TIFF only week’s away, the staff at the Ritz-Carlton in Toronto are busy preparing for celebrity sleepovers, press conferences, and midnight soirees.

Located at the hub of Festival Central, celebrities can be seen strolling in and out of the Ritz Carlton day and night.  There is no question that the Ritz Carlton stops at nothing to greet Hollywood’s elite in Hollywood North style.

From exclusive food and beverage experiences to specialty-themed spa treatments, it’s the place to be this festival season.

The hotel’s signature item this year is the aptly named Velvet Rope Experience.  Available at either Ritz Bar or DEQ Lounge from September 7-17this premier experience begins with a hand-crafted blend of Remy Martin Louis XIII cognac, 2009 Louis Roederer Cristal champagne, house-made saffron and hibiscus syrup, clarified lemon juice and Peychaud’s bitters, and is served with Glacier Bay oysters topped with Acadian wild sturgeon caviar – the world’s only wild and sustainable caviar ($1,000 per couple).

The Spa My Blend by Clarins is offering a variety of events and services that promise to have guests ready for the spotlight.  From September 8-10 the spa will host an InstaGlam event which will feature the exclusive My Blend Blending Bar, combined with complimentary makeup applications and hair styling.  Spa My Blend will also offer a TIFF-themed treatment menu that includes such services as the Red Carpet GlowScene Stealer or Star for a Day package.

At TOCA, a blockbuster Sunday brunch is sure to satisfy any Hollywood craving.  Available September 10 or 17, the exclusive event includes a carving station, sustainable seafood bar, handmade pasta, breakfast market favourites, freshly baked pastries, dessert station and Chef’s selection of cheese from the restaurant’s Cheese Cave for $125 per person.  For the ultimate brunch, guests can upgrade their experience to include a bottle of Cristal champagne for $650 per couple.

Throughout the 10-day festival, The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto will also feature several specialty activations in its lobby such as a 15-foot chocolate centerpiece, champagne garden, café, candy stations and a step and repeat board for guests to capture their own special moments at #RCTIFF.
