What is Pilates? I asked myself this same question not that long ago.

I still remember the day when my dance coach told a group of us one important thing: since we are competitive dancers, we need to be strong.

This is when she introduced us to Pilates in order to strengthen our inner cores.

At the time I had never heard of it before, but I was very excited to learn.

And guess what? Pilates is now part of my daily workout.  As a mother of three, this system of exercises is the best way to create a strong core and they are fun, too. When you practice Pilates and follow a proper diet plan, you will be fit in no time.

What is Pilates?

Pilates a system of exercises designed to improve physical strength, flexibility, posture, and enhance mental awareness. It is inspired by calisthenics, yoga and ballet. Pilates lengthens and stretches all the major muscle groups in the body in a balanced fashion. It improves core strength, balance and body awareness.

No matter what your age or condition, it will work for you. Many Pilates exercises open up tight hips and legs, allowing them to move more freely. Pilates will also make you stronger all over, which is always a bonus for sexy time. You will be getting stronger because Pilates focuses on the mind-body connection, and the workouts help you understand your body better.
