Kathy Griffin’s attempted joke is certainly no laughing matter.
During a recent photo shoot, she held up a bloodied mask depicting President Donald Trump.
The images are now being widely criticized.
President Trump was quick to respond to her photo shoot.
At 7:14 AM this morning President Trump posted the following statement on Twitter: “Kathy Griffin should be ashamed of herself. My children, especially my 11 year old son, Barron, are having a hard time with this. Sick!”
Squatty Potty recently enlisted the celebrity comedian to star in a new ad campaign for the company. However the company has suspended the ads.
The company’s CEO Bobby Edwards has issued the following statement late yesterday:
“We were shocked and disappointed to learn about the image Ms. Griffin shared today, it was deeply inappropriate and runs contrary to the core values our company stands for. In response, Squatty Potty has suspended its ad campaign featuring Ms. Griffin. We have acted swiftly and decisively to demonstrate our commitment to a culture of decency, civility, and tolerance.”
At 6:54pm on May 30th Kathy Griffin took to twitter to apologize for her “mistake.”
I am sorry. I went too far. I was wrong. pic.twitter.com/LBKvqf9xFB
