Co-Founder of Press Forward, Lara Setrakian sparks continued conversation on news room culture and etiquette. Setrakian is working in hopes to open people eyes to the media industries influx of sexual assault allegations. Including her own experience in sexual harassment, Setrakian mentions fellow journalist, Mark Halperin, during her experience at ABC News.
“Fixing Newsroom Culture: A Conversation with Lara Setrakian” will be a conversation with Farah Nasser, anchor of Global News at 5:30 & 6. The talk works toward empowering others experiencing sexual harassment in the media industry. Setrakian will be teaching others how to fix harassment issues while discussing power dynamics in the workplace.
The talk will be held on May 26th at Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel (2nd Level, Dominions Ballroom South) at 123 Queen Street West, Toronto. The talk will be held at 5-6:30 pm.
General Admission tickets will be $25, $15 for students with a school ID, and FREE for those attending the RTDNA Conference.
