Nate Black Foundation Launch Party – Celebrate the life of Nate Black and Help Raise Money for the Cause

The Internet blew up when 29-year-old Nathan Holder (formerly knows as Nate Black) suddenly passed away on a trip in Cancun, Mexico, in early 2015. Now, just two years later, his memory is still alive, as the Nate Black Foundation has been placed in his name.

The Nate Black Foundation

The Nate Black Foundation aims toward funding exceptional students in pursuit of higher education. This helps to reduce obstacles toward their success. Finishing his undergrad at the University of Western Ontario and his graduate degree at York University, Nate Black was destined for greatness. “Nate always felt that for someone with his background and from his community in the GTA there were additional obstacles to overcome in order to successfully attain a post-secondary education. Nate was particularly proud that he himself had overcome those obstacles.” says Eric Tribe, President and CEO of the Nate Black Foundation.

The Nate Black Foundation Launch Party

In order to celebrate the life of Nate Black and to help raise money toward the cause, the Nate Black Foundation will be hosting a Launch Party on Thursday July 13th from 6pm-10pm at Early Mercy (540 King Street West) in downtown Toronto. “The support for this foundation will be equally unique, interesting and accomplished. It will be a special group and a great place to connect with friends both old and new, supporting a positive cause in the community.” continues Tribe, “It is the hope of everyone at the Nate Black Foundation that his legacy will carry on to help others like him accomplish their dreams.” Tickets will be sold at, early bird tickets ending on June 20th.
