Canadian fashion label Smythe offers ready-to-wear designs for today’s woman

“Modern and emotional” are the two words Smythe co-designers Andrea Lenczner and Christie Smythe use to describe the Smythe aesthetic. Since launching the Canadian fashion label in 2004 with blazers and jackets, the pair have brought a unique sense of occasion to everyday wardrobe essentials and gained a cult following. Today their ready-to-wear collections are versatile and timeless.

Every Smythe collection starts from a personal place, where designs are inspired by lifestyle, textiles and a trunkful of cultural experiences, including design, art, travel, film and nature.

The Smythe Spring/Summer 2018 collection offers contrast and colour, with palette-cleansing whites, black leather and foils, and colourful notes of kelly green, baby blue and bubble gum. Standout collection pieces include a foiled lambskin jacket, a camo windbreaker and a courtesan blazer with its distinctive dramatic neckline.

Fluid lines reign in the form of the flowing blouses and dresses and the languid snake print suit; all of which provide the perfect foil to the tailored blazers associated with the Smythe brand.
